Imeilus päev, septembri kohta väga soe, kuskil +23 mõnus "vananaistesuvi" nimetus tuleb tõenäoliselt sellest, et sügisel tegid lihtsamaid põllutöösid vanemad naised
"Maal elamise päev" , käisime tutvumas Jaanihanso Siidritalu tegemistega. Tegemist on mahetaluga. Jaanihanso Siidritalus saab pidada ka üritusi, õues on äsjavalminud väike, mille kõrval puude all on kiiged. Sees on väike kohvik, kust saab osta küpsetisi ning erinevaid jooke maitsta.
We gathered 10.30 in front of Sagadi Manor and started the hiking trail called “Forest Fairy tales”. It was less than 5 km long. The trail was about historical and educational stories. In that trail we saw a very little frog, about the size of my little finger and some mushrooms. The mushrooms were growing on the tree, I do not know the name of the mushrooms, but I will find it out. The nature guide in this tour was Triin Kusmin, who is our teacher in heritage culture. She tells the old forestories so expressively and her knowledge from heritage is very good. This hiking trail ended in Oandu Visitor Center. The Visitor Center operates in a 150-years-old building. From Oandu starts several hiking and study trails, where everyone finds a suitable route. When we arrived at the Oandu Visitor Center we had lunch. After lunch we were ready for another nature trail called “Old-growth forest” , which was also about 5 km long. Also we watched the exhibitions displayed in the Cone Hut, hay barn and the old ice cellar. The guide on this tour was Tiina Neljandik, who is the mother of Triin Kusmin and the manager of Oandu Visitor Center. The nature trail went through from the old-forest, the trail went up and down , on the boardwalk ferns on the sides, some stares, some tree roots on the trail, it was exciting. On the trail I eated some berries, like blueberry, lingonberry. We also saw several mushrooms. I picked up a mushroom called Cortinarius caperatus, commonly known as the gypsy mushroom. It is a very good edible mushroom. I got only five of them, so when I arrived at home I cooked with onions and mushrooms omelette. I enjoyed this nature tour in Oandu very much. My lungs were happy to breathe pine forest air. At the end of the day I was exhausted, but my heart was full of joy and my mind was glad and calm. .
